Cette conductivit\u00e9 d\u00e9pend de plusieurs facteurs, notamment la texture du sol (argileux, limoneux ou sableux), son taux d&#8217;humidit\u00e9 et la concentration d&#8217;ions dissous pr\u00e9sents dans le sol, tels que les sels min\u00e9raux. Un sol argileux, par exemple, aura une conductivit\u00e9 plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e lorsqu&#8217;il est mouill\u00e9, car l&#8217;eau augmente la mobilit\u00e9 des ions, facilitant ainsi le passage du courant \u00e9lectrique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-zeever-primary-color has-text-color has-small-font-size\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400\">Le r\u00e9sistivim\u00e8tre est un instrument utilis\u00e9 pour mesurer l&#8217;inverse de la conductivit\u00e9, soit la r\u00e9sistivit\u00e9 du sol, exprim\u00e9e en ohms-m\u00e8tre (\u03a9\u00b7m). La r\u00e9sistivit\u00e9 est un indicateur important des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s physiques et chimiques du sol. En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, des valeurs de r\u00e9sistivit\u00e9 faibles indiquent une conductivit\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9e, souvent associ\u00e9e \u00e0 des sols riches en eau et en ions, tandis que des valeurs de r\u00e9sistivit\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9es sont typiques des sols secs ou peu ionis\u00e9s. Cette technique repose sur l&#8217;\u00e9mission d&#8217;un courant \u00e9lectrique entre deux \u00e9lectrodes, A et B. Le courant circule \u00e0 travers le sol, suivant la lithologie (nature des roches) et la structure du milieu \u00e9tudi\u00e9. Pour atteindre des profondeurs plus importantes, il suffit d&#8217;augmenter l&#8217;espacement entre les \u00e9lectrodes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-zeever-primary-color has-text-color has-small-font-size\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400\">Lors de l&#8217;injection d&#8217;un courant d&#8217;intensit\u00e9 connue, la distribution du potentiel \u00e9lectrique est mesur\u00e9e. Ces donn\u00e9es permettent de calculer les valeurs de r\u00e9sistivit\u00e9 apparente (\u03c1a) du sous-sol, essentielles pour produire une carte de &#8220;pseudo-section&#8221;. Elle est remplie de sable, qui est ensuite compact\u00e9. Simultan\u00e9ment, une contrainte normale constante (\u03c3n) est appliqu\u00e9e verticalement, accompagn\u00e9e d&#8217;une contrainte tangentielle (\u03c3t) \u00e0 l&#8217;horizontale, que l&#8217;on augmente progressivement en ajoutant des poids. Lorsque la contrainte normale ne compense plus la contrainte tangentielle, le sol c\u00e8de : le haut du r\u00e9cipient se d\u00e9tache brusquement de sa base, provoquant le renversement du sable. Cette manipulation permet d&#8217;\u00e9tudier la capacit\u00e9 d&#8217;\u00e9change cationique et la surface sp\u00e9cifique des argiles. Le sol est constamment agit\u00e9 pour le mettre en suspension, puis un volume de bleu de m\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne est ajout\u00e9. Une goutte de cette suspension est pr\u00e9lev\u00e9e et d\u00e9pos\u00e9e sur un papier filtre sp\u00e9cial. Cette op\u00e9ration est r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9e jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 ce que le bleu soit en exc\u00e8s dans la solution, ce qui se manifeste par l&#8217;apparition d&#8217;une aur\u00e9ole bleu clair persistante autour de la tache.
