Elle englobe l&#8217;ensemble des organismes vivants ainsi que leurs environnements. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9nergie du Soleil, la photosynth\u00e8se se d\u00e9clenche : les plantes convertissent l&#8217;eau et les nutriments absorb\u00e9s par leurs racines, ainsi que le dioxyde de carbone (CO2) de l&#8217;air, en glucose (un sucre) pour se d\u00e9velopper, tout en rejetant de l&#8217;oxyg\u00e8ne (O2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-zeever-primary-color has-text-color has-small-font-size\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400\">Ce m\u00e9canisme est fondamental dans la cha\u00eene alimentaire : les plantes grandissent, sont consomm\u00e9es par les herbivores, qui, \u00e0 leur tour, sont mang\u00e9s par les carnivores. Ainsi, la photosynth\u00e8se est essentielle \u00e0 la vie sur Terre. De plus, elle permet de transformer le dioxyde de carbone en oxyg\u00e8ne, soulignant l&#8217;importance de pr\u00e9server les espaces verts et forestiers. Cette analyse permet de retracer l\u2019histoire des s\u00e9diments, notamment leur origine, leur mode de transport et leur d\u00e9p\u00f4t, car leur comportement est fortement influenc\u00e9 par leur granulom\u00e9trie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-zeever-primary-color has-text-color has-small-font-size\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400\">Ainsi, il devient plus facile de comprendre les ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes physiques qui affectent une zone d\u2019\u00e9tude. Par exemple, dans un estuaire, l\u2019apport et le d\u00e9p\u00f4t des particules s\u00e9dimentaires sont r\u00e9gul\u00e9s par des dynamiques marines (courants, vagues, mar\u00e9es) ainsi que par des dynamiques continentales (\u00e9rosion, ruissellement).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-zeever-primary-color has-text-color has-small-font-size\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400\">Pour r\u00e9aliser l\u2019\u00e9tude granulom\u00e9trique, les s\u00e9diments sont d\u2019abord r\u00e9colt\u00e9s, puis tri\u00e9s en fonction de leur taille \u00e0 l\u2019aide de tamis.
